A product tour is a guided introduction to a product's main capabilities, delivered as an in-app walkthrough, an interactive demo or a short video. Its goal is to get a new user to the product's core value quickly.
In-app tours use tooltips over the live product; interactive demos simulate it in clickable screens; video tours show a narrated walkthrough. Video tours are the cheapest to produce and work in emails, docs and landing pages where the live product can't run.
