What is SCORM?

Definition

SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) is the standard packaging format that lets a training module run inside any compatible learning management system (LMS) and report completion and scores back to it.

Why SCORM matters for video training

An MP4 uploaded to an LMS plays, but a SCORM package tracks: who watched, whether they finished, and how they scored on the quiz. Teams exporting software training to an LMS use SCORM so completion feeds compliance and HR records.
