What is a video knowledge base?

Definition

A video knowledge base is a help center or internal wiki where each article pairs a short video with written steps, so users can watch or read the same answer. It is built from one recording per task.

Why pair video with text

Video shows the flow; text is searchable, scannable and translatable. Publishing both from the same recording keeps them in sync and lets search engines index content that video alone would hide.

Maintenance

The failure mode of video help centers is outdated UI. Keeping production cost near zero per video — record, auto-edit, regenerate — is what makes refreshing after each release realistic.
